I don't know if all schools do this but mine does. Freshman day (or fishy day as upper class men call it) is where on the Saturday before school starts just freshman go to the school for an ordination. You get to see all your new teachers, walk your schedule, and the teachers explain the rules of the school and their class. It is not "required" but you should definitely go. My personal favorite part is walking through your schedule. It really helps unless you like awkwardly walking into the wrong class or being late and having to sit in the squeaky desk in the front of the class. Now I love sitting in front of the class, so I can see the board better but not on the first day.
What should I bring Hayley?
Well, I am a little bit of an over packer, but there is a few things you want to bring. I brought my backpack, pencil pouch, binder, beauty "essentials", and lunch box. However, my school supplied a small (ugly) drawstring backpack with a folder, paperwork, schedule, and agenda (I will have a post all about your agenda coming soon).

Confessions of an OCD Freshman

Welcome
Hello, My name is Hayley. I am a high school freshman who is trying to understand high school. I am a very "type A" student who loves to be organized. My job here is to decode high school along with showing you my favorite tips and tricks. I am currently enrolled in all Pre-AP classes with straight "A"s. You may not be just like me in school but that doesn't mean you can't use my tips and become a better you. I hope I can help you in and out of school.
Stay classy,
Hayley
